OpenAI has recently introduced many useful tools for companies with ChatGPT. This white-collar version of productive artificial intelligence had a structure that could be customized according to the needs of companies and focused on protecting sensitive information. Many businesses were queuing up to receive this service from ChatGPT.
Despite this great artificial intelligence excitement, OpenAI COO Brad Lightcap states that artificial intelligence is still in its infancy and companies cannot solve their problems in one day.
“Artificial intelligence will not solve problems overnight”
In fact, artificial intelligence is not a new thing, but with ChatGPT, it has become possible to interact with artificial intelligence almost unlimitedly for the first time. For example, while we have to play chess to encounter an artificial intelligence playing chess, with ChatGPT we can get information on whatever subject we want. That’s why it seems to many people that artificial intelligence can do anything.
In his statement to CNBC, Lightcap says that in some respects, the expectations from artificial intelligence are very high. He states that when many companies contact OpenAI, they come expecting artificial intelligence to solve many problems. These include big, complex challenges like dramatic cost reductions and increasing company growth. OpenAI COO said, “Artificial intelligence may develop further, but no single thing you do with artificial intelligence will completely solve the problem.” He also underlined that artificial intelligence is still in its infancy and stated that it needs time to become a part of critical tools and applications.
According to employees, artificial intelligence did not make things easier
Some companies have already started using artificial intelligence. Recent studies have revealed that the employees of these companies think that the first generation artificial intelligence models do not make their lives incredibly easy. It was also noticeable that in some fields people preferred to work with humans rather than artificial intelligence.
Artificial intelligence is an important innovation for now, but it does not have the power to shake the market. However, it is thought that this situation may undergo a major change in the future as advanced models become available.
