Recently, many automobile giants have been making changes in their logos as the transition to electric cars accelerates. Recently, we have seen similar steps from brands such as Infiniti, Land Rover and Porsche. Today, such a move came from Opel, based in Germany, which operates under Stellantis.
Opel introduced its new logo with minor changes to the iconic lightning logo. The company last changed its logo in 2020.
The new Opel logo represents electrification
When we look at Opel’s new logo, we see that changes have been made to the lightning symbol that is engraved in everyone’s mind. This iconic sign, in its new form, represents the brand’s transition to electric cars.
The German auto giant aims to become a brand that produces fully electric vehicles in Europe by 2028. CEO Florian Huettl also states that the company will launch a total of 15 electric models this year.
Just like the other brands, the new logo, which is simple, but with a stylish, sharp and modern design that reflects what it represents beautifully, will be used on Opel vehicles as of 2024. However, let’s add that we will start to see cars with the logo this year as well. There is no information yet on what the first car to debut with the new design will be.
