OnePlus Nord CE 2 introduced: 90 Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 900 processor and 65W fast charging

OnePlus has officially unveiled the second smartphone in the Nord CE series today, as promised. The model, called OnePlus Nord CE 2, joins the ranks of the middle class, while raising the bar a little higher than its predecessor in terms of charging speed and processor.

The smartphone features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, supporting 90 Hz refresh rate. The fingerprint scanner is hidden under the screen, while a 16-megapixel selfie camera is placed in the hole in the panel.

The MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset, which includes a 5G modem, is responsible for OnePlus Nord CE 2’s performance. It should be noted that this is accompanied by 6/8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The device comes with a 4,500mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC fast charging that offers a full charge in 32 minutes.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 comes out of the box with Android 11 based OxygenOS 11.3 installed. But it will be updated to OxygenOS 12 in the second half of the year. The company is promising two major software updates. In addition, the smartphone will receive security updates for three years.

The device is offered in two color options, blue and silver. OnePlus Nord CE 2 will be available for pre-order starting March 3rd. The smartphone will go on sale on March 10.
