2023 and newer OnePlus phones will receive 4 years of major OxygenOS updates, 5 years of security patches. It hasn’t been announced which models are included in this update calendar, but it wouldn’t be surprising if it prioritizes high-end phones like the OnePlus 11 series.
OnePlus also shared future innovations with OxygenOS 13.1, which it will introduce in the first half of 2023. With Spotify support, renewed always on display, artificial intelligence supported memory management to increase performance, Dolby Atmos based spatial sound, second generation private data field, new Aquamorphic design language, OxygenOS 13.1 features.
Samsung also announced that it will offer 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates for its high-end phones.
