OnePlus, which has made a name for itself in the smartphone world with its recent products, is preparing to take the first step in the foldable phone field. Important sources continue to share new details about the OnePlus Open model.
OnePlus Open withstands more than 400 thousand folds
Competition is heating up in the foldable phone space. Companies continue to release models with high-end equipment. However, since the foldable phone fashion is at the beginning of the road, it struggles with some durability problems.
A YouTuber named Mrkeybrd tested the durability of OnePlus Open hinges. In the tests carried out, the device withstood more than 400 thousand folds. This means that you can use it for 10 years even if you turn it on and off 100 times a day. With this number, it left behind Motorola Razr+, which is considered the best in the field. So much so that even Samsung’s new models, the most powerful in the foldable world, remain at 200 thousand folding levels.
According to previous leaks, the processor seat of the OnePlus foldable model will be Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 developed by Qualcomm. OnePlus Open, which will use a 6.3-inch AMOLED panel on the front, offers a 120Hz refresh rate on this screen. Open, which has a 7.8-inch AMOLED screen with 2K resolution on the inside, offers larger screens than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 on both sides.
The device will be powered by a 4800mAh battery. This battery will have 67W fast charging support. OnePlus Open will come with 16 GB RAM. The model was expected to be introduced last week. However, due to the ongoing patent dispute with Nokia, it is planned to be released in late September or early October.
