The game, announced as One Piece Odyssey, will be an open world RPG game and we will explore a mysterious island . The game will be developed by ILCA, a Japanese company that previously worked on Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes, Dragon Quest XI and Nier Replicant. The game will also be developed in collaboration with the original anime’s screenwriter, Eiichiro Oda.

Although there are only cutscenes in the announcement video, it is known that the game will have a turn-based battle system and the players will direct the Thousand Sunny team.
