A user sold his Bored Ape Yatch Club NFT for only $115.

Bored Ape #835 sold for just 115 DAI. Since DAI is a USD-pegged stablecoin, this amount is only equivalent to $115. Considering that the cheapest of the Bored Ape NFTs currently has a value of 106.8 ETH (approximately 358 thousand dollars), this sale reveals how interesting it is.

This sale, which took place, soon became a subject of great controversy. Some social media users claimed that the person selling the NFT may have thought of it as 115 ETH instead of 115 DAI. However, NFT was sold on OpenSea, which also displays the USD amount for each cryptocurrency. Therefore, this possibility does not seem very likely.

What makes this transaction extra suspicious is that the seller (cchan.eth) also sold a Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT for $25. Currently, the Mutant Ape collection is available for 22.8 ETH (around $76k) at its cheapest NFT.

So while it’s possible that someone made a mistake and sold two NFTs for at least $461,000 less than market value, it’s argued that it could also be the result of some form of exploitation.

The seller who made the sale and the buyer who bought the NFT for $115 remain anonymous.
