The twins named Umeno Sumiyama and Koume Kodama have been alive for exactly 107 years and 300 days and seem content with their situation.

According to the information obtained, the twins, who were born on the island of Shodoshima on November 5, 1913, have very social personalities. It was stated that Sumiyama has 4 children and Kodama has 3 children, while the siblings live in separate nursing homes. The previous record of twin brothers registered in Guinness World Records belonged to two Japanese again. Brothers Kin Narita and Gin Kanie, born in Nagoya on August 1, 1892, were the previous holders of the record with 107 years and 175 days. Kin Narita, who died in 2000, caused the end of this record. Gin Kanie died in 2001 at the age of 108.
