Did you know that you can revive your old, faded or even torn photos using artificial intelligence? A new artificial intelligence model called Generative Facial Prior (GFP-GAN) can do this for free. With the tool called Generative Facial Prior, which you can get on GitHub, you can restore your old and worn photos to their former vitality.
Generative Facial Prior is a project created by 4 developers, Xintao Wang, Yu Li, Honglun Zhang and Ying Shan, who call themselves Tencent PCG. This artificial intelligence method, called Generative Facial Prior, can produce great results by combining information from 2 different AI models to fill the details of photos with realistic details in a few seconds, while maintaining high accuracy and quality.
We have seen similar methods before. When you go to photo studios today, you can see that old and worn photos can be edited. However, with artificial intelligence, the results can become truly flawless. While fine-tuning the photos with the AI method, the developers have also published their codes on GitHub.
