Google Pixel 6a was officially introduced at Google IO 2022. The new Pixel 6a seems to be a serious competitor for the iPhone SE.
Display and design
Google Pixel 6a, like other Pixel 6 phones, comes with a 6.1-inch display with a camera hole. FHD+ resolution is offered but only 60Hz refresh rate. This may disappoint some. At least the screen supports Always On Display, a feature that not all mid-range phones have.
The phone is similar to its siblings with the same camera bar, but with smaller lens apertures. This makes it look a little different to us.
It was not mentioned what material the phone is made of. But if we’re guessing based on previous phones, it’s probably plastic….
Cameras and battery
Google Pixel 6a’s dual camera system, 12MP main and 12MP It consists of ultra-wide lenses. The front camera comes with 8 MP resolution: So don’t expect to take super high resolution selfies with the Pixel 6a.
The phone has a 4,800mAh battery that lasts for more than a day according to Google. The charging speed is 30W.
Performance and features
Google has also brought the Tensor chip to the Pixel 6a. This makes the Pixel 6a just as powerful as any other device and explains why they have the same camera features.
Beyond that, you get 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, both of which seem pretty standard for a mid-range phone like this.
The phone comes out of the box with Android 12. Pixel 6a will hit the shelves in white, green and black color options.
Price
The price of Google Pixel 6a was announced as $ 449. But we don’t know yet when it will go on sale.
