Nvidia’s lag-reducing Reflex technology is coming to Counter-Strike 2. Reflex is a technology designed to make games more responsive by reducing the time between clicking your mouse and seeing the action on the screen. Reducing latency here is very important in competitive shooter games, and it will now be coming to CS:GO soon.

Reflex support for Counter-Strike 2

Valve and Nvidia have teamed up to add Reflex to Counter-Strike 2, which will come as a free update to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. In Counter Strike 2, Nvidia Reflex technology will work on GeForce GTX 900 series and higher graphics cards. According to Nvidia, the biggest gains will be on older cards. In this way, it can reduce the system latency in Counter-Strike 2 by up to 35 percent so that it can be fired before the opponent.

Nvidia posted the slide above to highlight the latency improvements. In this slide, we also see the GeForce RTX 4070, which has been leaking in all aspects for a while. As Nvidia stated, the high latency experienced in old cards is rasped quite a lot with Reflex. The latency seems to have dropped from 26ms to 17ms on the GTX 1060, which is serious. Meanwhile, Nvidia Reflex is also available in Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, Destiny 2, Escape from Tarkov, Fortnite, Overwatch 2, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and Valorant. Interestingly, PUBG does not have this support.
