NVIDIA introduced the GeForce RTX 40 laptop lineup at CES 2023, which includes the high-end RTX 4090 and RTX 4080. The tech-savvy GPUs are designed to deliver the ultimate gaming experience and will be available on February 8, starting at $2000. ITHome says the laptops will be available for pre-order a week before the graphics cards come out.
Early benchmarks showed that the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 graphics cards had good performance figures. Laptops with RTX 4090 are as fast as RTX 3090 (desktop) and RTX 4080 is as fast as RTX 3080 12GB (desktop) graphics card, but we will see the real comparison between February 1st and February 8th.
NVIDIA’s Ada Lovelace GPU architecture delivered great productivity results in the desktop lineup; We will see similar results in the mobility series. Notebooks come with their own heatsink and cooling solution, plus power/thermal limit, which can significantly affect the ultimate graphics performance of GeForce RTX 40 laptop graphics cards.
