NVIDIA is working on cutting-edge RTX 40 series graphics cards. However, a hardware leaker Twitter user now claims to know about the performance of the upcoming GeForce RTX 40 series. The leaker claims that the performance figures in 3DMark Time Spy are based on the expected specs of these cards.
RTX 4080 will be twice as fast as RTX 3080
Technology giant NVIDIA is planning three variants, RTX 4070, RTX 4080 and RTX 4090. These all new RTX 40 series graphics cards have been tested on the basis of the 3DMark Time Spy Extreme Test. Then came the performance capabilities of graphics cards. According to a user who leaked the performance figures on Twitter, the RTX 40 series will be groundbreaking in terms of efficiency and power.
The leaker doesn’t go into too much detail in his statement, but says he’s not sure about the numbers either. For comparison, the user posted RTX 4090 Time Spy Extreme data a week ago. This shows that the GPU performance is about 30 percent faster than the RTX 3090 Tis with the highest clock speeds and liquid cooling.
Additionally, the user estimates that the RTX 4080 will achieve a graphics score of 15,000 points, slightly higher than the RTX 3090 Ti. Regarding Time Spy Extreme, this information will make the RTX 4080 40 percent to 50 percent faster than the RTX 3080 10GB.
Also, the user says that the GeForce RTX 4070 should score 10k and be on the same level as the RTX 3090. Compared to the RTX 3070, this is a pretty good boost for a generational upgrade.
If all this information is correct, the RTX 4070 will be on par with the RTX 3090, and the RTX 4080 will be double the RTX 3080, which aligns with many of the early performance rumors of the new cards. There is no information about the price of GPUs for now. However, it may change according to the release date of the 40 series.
