Nvidia is running for a record
Nvidia, which reached a record revenue of 13.51 billion dollars in the second quarter of the year and became the first trillion-dollar chip company, earns a lot especially from the H100 artificial intelligence accelerator. In the second quarter, the company’s H100 sales were around 300 thousand.
Research companies state that an estimated 900 tons of H100 accelerators, weighing around 3Kg, were sold. Although Nvidia experienced production shortages, demands increased at record levels.
These figures are expected to increase further in the third quarter of the year. Nvidia will exceed the $15 billion revenue threshold for the first time in its history. The real explosion will happen in 2024 because between 1.5 million and 2 million Nvidia artificial intelligence chips are expected to be shipped. This means sales of nearly 500 thousand accelerators in a quarter.
