At the NVIDIA event held today, the RTX 4000 series graphics cards, which will guide the gaming and software world, were introduced. The fact that the RTX 4090, which is the top model graphics card of the series, is 2 to 4 times more powerful than the RTX 3090 TI, attracted a lot of attention. DLSS 3.0 technology, which is exclusive to new graphics cards, was also introduced in the promotion.

Of course, not only graphics cards were introduced in the NVIDIA presentation. The Californian technology giant also announced its work in artificial intelligence, automation and Metaverse at this event. Let’s take a closer look at these revolutionary features introduced by NVIDIA.

Omniverse and digital twins

The first topic that NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang talked about after graphics cards at the event was the Omniverse project and digital twins. Omniverse is actually a service used to create the Metaverse of the future. With this service, companies and individuals made it possible to build the Metaverse, called the world of the future, with real-time simulations and digital twins.

The company also announced that they offer the service called Omniverse Cloud, where you can access all Omniverse systems remotely and maintain these services jointly with your project colleagues. Thanks to this system, they will be able to easily control software development kits, LLM services and artificial intelligence avatar systems. Using these services, companies and users will be able to create digital twins of factories, cities and even planets according to their needs and test their systems there.

Technology to outshine DALL-E: Nemo LLM

The artificial intelligence named DALL-E, which has attracted everyone’s attention recently, is known for transforming the words you write into images for you. NVIDIA’s Nemo takes it to the next level. Nemo, which is successful in almost everything from design to solving complex scientific problems, analyzing space images and redesigning chemical components, will be able to be used much more easily and effortlessly by getting rid of its complex use thanks to NVIDIA’s new developments.

In addition to these services, Nemo, which can be used in the fields of finance, health and education, has 530 billion parameters and can process these parameters according to your needs. In OpenAI GPT-3, known as the largest and most advanced artificial intelligence of recent years, this number is only 175 billion parameters.

The next level in autonomous driving: Drive Thor processor

NVIDIA, which has continuously invested in autonomous driving systems in recent years, has given these investments its due with the autonomous vehicle processor named Orin. Later, Atlan processors were introduced but were never produced due to the chip crisis. The CEO of the company, Jensen, introduced the Drive Thor system, the latest autonomous driving processor and software developed by NVIDIA. Drive Thor can do everything that the parking, security, road recognition and sign recognition, information and 3D modeling chips in autonomous vehicles can do on its own.

In the short videos shown in the promotion, Drive Thor was able to detect possible accident scenarios in the cars it was connected to, warn the driver and intervene when necessary to prevent the accident from happening. Jensen said in a statement that this processor will direct the way fully autonomous vehicles work and will revolutionize the autonomous vehicle industry.

The ideal processor for building humanoid robots: Jetson Orin

Jetson Orin processors, another technology that will change the robot and automation industry, were also introduced at the event. These processors are designed for use in autonomous robots. Orin processors, using NVIDIA’s Ampere architecture, pave the way for autonomous robots designed to do certain tasks to be partially free within certain limits (and within the limits of their software). For example, when an autonomous robot that wants to go from point A to point B encounters an obstacle on its way, it finds an alternative route within the limits given to it and reaches point B no matter what.

In the presentation, it was demonstrated that greenhouse robots with Orin processors autonomously relocate plants for appropriate sunlight in line with the calculations made. Of course, the usage area of these processors is not only in the industrial field. Orin processors are designed to be compatible with robots used in healthcare, construction, manufacturing, storage and accommodation.

We will not be able to distinguish artificial intelligence and chatbots from real people: Omniverse ACE

Perhaps one of the most striking promotions of the event was NVIDIA’s Omniverse ACE technology. Introduced with the slogan “I am AI” (I am artificial intelligence), this system allows you to create chatbots, avatars and artificial intelligence with a user-friendly interface without the need to use complex operations.

Violet, one of the first artificial intelligence created with Omniverse ACE, was also shown in this promotion. It has been announced that Violet’s voice, appearance, and even her ability to evaluate and process information is possible thanks to the Omniverse ACE software.

So what do you think about these technologies introduced by NVIDIA? Do you think these technologies can really shape the future? Do not forget to indicate your ideas in the comments.
