In recent years, NVIDIA introduced the Broadcast application, which is powered by artificial intelligence, to give users a more professional impression when broadcasting live from their homes. In this way, users have many possibilities such as microphone interference and room echo cancellation, virtual background, automatic framing of webcam and video noise reduction.

Apparently, AMD, one of the company’s biggest rivals, has decided to take a similar step. The microchip manufacturer recently announced that it introduced the AMD Noise Suppression tool, which allows you to filter background sounds, interference in the microphone, and even sounds from the other party’s devices during a call, through artificial intelligence such as NVIDIA RTX Broadcast.

What will AMD Noise Suppression offer?

It has been known for some time that AMD is working on this type of technology. Even a video about it was shared on Reddit last week. Finally, the company confirmed the related claims and introduced the AMD Noise Suppression tool.

The company’s statement on the subject is as follows;

“Our newest feature: AMD Noise Cancellation, using artificial intelligence to reduce background audio noise from the environment around you, providing greater clarity and improved concentration whether you’re focused on an important meeting or locked into a competitive game.”

One of the most important differences between the technologies of the two companies is that unlike NVIDIA -Broadcast- in AMD, you do not need to download an extra application. Here, the company integrated the new technology directly into the Adrenaline platform with version 22.7.1.

Other than that, users who want to take advantage of the new technology will need a Ryzen 5000 series CPU or higher, or a Radeon RX 6000 series or newer GPU.
