Automakers aim to roll out automated driving features, robotaxes and driverless trucks. NVIDIA, on the other hand, made it easy by announcing its new computing and sensor toolkit here. In this context, it has announced that Hyperion 8, a production-ready platform that includes the necessary sensors, computing and software for AV development, is now available for purchase for 2024 model vehicles.
Hyperion 8 offers customization according to need
Hyperion 8 is the latest iteration of the end-to-end NVIDIA Drive platform that automakers can customize to their liking and needs. Hyperion 8 first appeared in April. However, some details have not been disclosed so far, such as which companies supplied 12 cameras, 9 radars and a lidar as part of the platform.
