The countdown has begun for Starfield, one of the most anticipated productions of the game world. The game, which will be released in the coming months, was opened for pre-orders in the past weeks. Today, AMD announced that it has agreed with Bethesda to bring FSR 2.0 technology to Starfield. Here are the details…
Starfield will take the stage with FSR 2.0 technology! So what about NVIDIA and Intel?
Within the scope of this agreement between AMD and Bethesta, FSR 2.0 technology, which provides higher performance in higher graphics, will be offered to Starfield players. This means that AMD graphics and processor users can get more FPS in the game.
Many people did not welcome this deal for Starfield. Because in the announcement, Bethesda stated that it only cooperates with AMD. This left a question mark in the minds of whether the game will support technologies such as NVIDIA’s DLSS and Intel’s XeSS.
The fact that the game will run optimized with AMD processors and graphics cards was well received by AMD users. However, we cannot say the same for NVIDIA and Intel users. Because it is estimated that Bethesda may not have made an agreement with the two companies.
As a result, it is possible to say that Starfield will be exclusive to AMD users, according to the current statements. Of course, NVIDIA and Intel users will also be able to play the game, but AMD users will enjoy a more optimized game.
The relevant statement of Jack Huynh, AMD Senior Vice President, Computing and Graphics Group General Manager, is as follows;
We worked hand in hand with Bethesda Game Studios to optimize Starfield with Ryzen 7000 series processors and Radeon 7000 series graphics for Xbox and PC. These optimizations both speed up performance and improve game quality using multi-threaded code, and Xbox and PC gamers will be able to benefit from it.
Bethesda game developer Todd Howard pointed out that AMD engineers are working specifically for Starfield, and stated that they continue to work on FSR2 image processing and upgrading in Bethesda’s codebase.
NVIDIA and Intel users are concerned that Starfield may not be optimized for their platform. So what do you guys think about this issue? You can share your views with us in the Comments section below.
