Nusret Gökçe, who has recently come to the fore with his new restaurant opened in England, is facing a new crisis. Former employees of the owner of the famous restaurant chain had taken Gökçe to court on the grounds that he had confiscated the employee’s tips and dismissed him for no reason, and the British Court found the employees right in this case.
According to the British Court’s decision, Nusret Gökçe will pay a total of 2 million TL compensation to his employees who sued him and who are alleged to have eaten his right. With this penalty, Nusret will have paid compensation to his employees twice in the last 3 years.
Nusret was punished for the same reason before.
Last year, the waiters working in Nusret rebelled and filed a lawsuit on the grounds that Nusret seized thousands of dollars in tips and previously fired the employees for no reason and without compensation. The British Court found the employees right and sentenced Nusret to pay 230 thousand dollars in compensation.
As we mentioned before, this fine is not the first compensation Nusret will pay. As a result of the court brought by his former employees about 2-3 years ago, Nusret was sentenced to pay 237 thousand dollars in compensation. With this penalty, the total amount of compensation Nusret paid was 437 thousand dollars.
