Increasing Number of Bitcoin ATMs
The growth chart of Bitcoin ATMs, whose use has increased in parallel with their popularity, draws a positive graph.
39 thousand crypto ATMs installed in 77 countries by 614 operators decreased from 2,362 to 1,600 in the third quarter of 2022. However, this number looks positive despite the slowdown compared to the first and second quarters of the year. This upward trend started in January 2017 when the numbers were moving towards 1,000 machines. It has seen a real increase from September 2020 with a little less than 10,000 machines worldwide, and it has so far.
As of the beginning of January 2017, when there were more than 969 global crypto ATMs, the number of installations had increased by 3,925%. About 3.8 percent of the global percentage of crypto ATMs operating today are in Europe, while 1.1 percent are located on other continents.
Of the 39,008 crypto ATMs installed to date, 38,996 support Bitcoin (BTC), while 33,051 accept various altcoins.
