European prices for the Nothing Phone 2 had recently fallen on the internet. However, the resulting figures were not very encouraging. Because the source of the leak was talking about 729 euros for the 8/256 GB version of the smartphone, while the 12/512 GB model would be offered at a price of 849 euros.
For comparison, the basic Nothing Phone 1 with 8/128 GB configuration was launched at a price of 469 euros. The 256 GB version of the device was released at a price of 499 euros. The fact that the price of the new model was almost twice as high created a great disappointment for consumers.
“Who leaked it?”
The boss of the UK-based company, Carl Pei, reacted to the price leaks on his social media account. Nothing’s number one name quoted the leak-related tweet, “Who leaked it?” He wrote and put his mood by adding an angry face emoji to his message.
However, at this point, it is not known whether Carl Pei was angry that the prices were real and leaked, or that the information was fabricated. In any case, we will find out together what the real price of Nothing Phone 2 is at the promotional event on July 11th.
