Last year, the company entered the mobile world by introducing the headset Nothing Ear (1), which stands out with its semi-transparent design. Nothing, which is expected to introduce its first smartphone for a long time, introduced its first smartphone after months of leaks.
Nothing Phone (1) comes with a unique design
Although Nothing Phone (1) is basically similar to iPhone 12/13 devices, it draws attention with its transparent design and special lighting/notification system (Glyph). Having one of the most interesting designs of recent years, Phone (1) creates a feeling of high quality by using glass on both sides. The device shows protection against dust and water splashes with IP53 certification. The lighting system behind the device is Glyph; It can be customized with functions such as notification, ringtone and charge meter.
Nothing Phone (1) comes with a 120Hz 10-bit OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080. The device, which can reach 500nit brightness level in the standard sense, can increase this level up to 1200nit in outdoor environments. The device, which has completely symmetrical bezels, comes with an under-display optical fingerprint sensor for biometric login. In addition, the device has a software-supported face recognition system that works even while wearing a mask.
Price-performance-oriented device has 3-year Android update promise
Coming with Qualcomm’s specially developed Snapdragon 778G + processor, Nothing Phone offers 8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage options. The device, which debuted with Android 12-based Nothing OS, will receive Android updates for 3 years. Nothing also stated that the device will receive security updates every two months.
The device, which has a 50MP Sony IMX 766 sensor on its main camera, has a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor on its wide-angle camera. In addition, the device can use the Glyph system as a flash for close-up shots. The device, which supports 4K30fps video shooting on both cameras, offers only 1080p 30fps support on the front camera. The device with a 4500mAh battery has 33W PD3.0 fast charging support and 15W wireless charging support. The device also offers reverse wireless charging support at 5W power. Nothing Phone (1) will go on sale on July 18 in black and white.
