Instant messaging platform WhatsApp comes out with new features every week. For example, a few days ago, a feature that allows editing photo and video descriptions was seen coming.
Now, it has been announced that a feature that concerns groups in the application will come. CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced that he will no longer be required to add names to WhatsApp groups.
Anonymous groups will be named after users
So now we can create anonymous groups. Instead, groups will now be named after participants. For example, in the screenshot shared by Zuckerberg, we can see that such a group is called “Rocco & Li-Chen”.
According to TechCrunch, if groups are anonymous, up to 6 participants will be allowed. In addition, the application will name the groups according to how those people are registered with you. This means that everyone can have a different group name.
The new feature, which seems to be especially useful for one-time groups, has started to be offered to all users globally. We can say that it will come to everyone in the coming days.
