No overclocking on Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor

AMD’s Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which is supported by an additional cache plate for the first time in the chip industry, has slowly started to show itself in the market. However, it is spreading from language to language that there are some problems.

Ryzen 7 5800X3D overclocking?

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor contains 8 cores and 16 threads. The processor, which can go up to 4.5GHz with Turbo, has 32MB of standard cache, while 64MB of 3D V-cache is added to it. Thus, a total of 96MB cache is obtained.

Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor consuming 105W is compatible with AM4 socket. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor, which performs 15 percent better in Full HD gaming compared to the Ryzen 5900X processor, claims to be the best game processor because there are up to 17 percent differences compared to the Alder Lake-based Intel Core-i9 12900K processor.

However, AMD is allegedly asking motherboard manufacturers to turn off overclocking support. In the researches about why the request was made, it is stated that AMD has not yet provided an explanation to the manufacturers.

AGESA 1.2.0.6 B driver also has no clue about overclocking yet. In this regard, clear information is not available. However, it is estimated that 3D memory technology has problems during overclocking.
