Apple will hold its highly anticipated September event next week. The Cupertino company released iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 versions at different times last year. This time, however, it will reportedly deliver both major software updates at the same time.

The information in question came from Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, whom we know through Apple news. Gurman says that iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 will be released on September 12, following the announcement of the iPhone 15 series. However, this was not the case in previous major releases.

Why was there a delay last year?

As a reminder, let’s mention that iOS 16 was released on September 12, and iPadOS 16 was released almost a month later. The Cupertino company had to delay the software to improve the Stage Manager functionality. Because many bugs related to multitasking capabilities were detected in beta versions of iPadOS 16.

Since this intelligence is based on Apple’s own internal development processes, everything is likely to go as planned as long as there are no unexpected critical bugs in beta versions. So this year, we’ll likely see the company deliver iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 to devices at the same time.
