An explanation came from the founder for the delays in Cardano’s expected Vasil hard fork upgrade. Cardano has delayed the upgrade date of the highly anticipated Vasil hard fork several times. With the delays increasing, Cardano’s CEO and founder, Charles Hoskinson, made a statement.
Charles Hoskinson took to the camera on his YouTube channel to explain what happened during the updates. Hoskinson stated that there will be no further delays in his speech regarding the Vasil hard fork upgrade.
Cardano Founder: Vasil Hard Fork Upgrade Won’t Be Delayed
A change was made to the timeline of the Cardano Vasil hard fork in June. With this change, the scheduled date was the last week of July. After the testnet hard fork in July, it was stated that exchanges and SPOs needed at least four more weeks to test, resulting in increased delays.
Kevin Hammond, one of the managers of IOG, at the Cardano 360 event held in the past period, said that the delays were experienced in order to be able to test more. As the update got delayed, many questions about the Vasil hard fork began to go unanswered. Charles Hoskinson also posted a video on his YouTube channel on August 1 to answer questions.
Reassuring users that he does not expect any more delays in the Vasil hard fork and stating that the upgrade is currently in the final testing stages, Hoskinson made the following statement:
