Many companies have started to produce items to be used in the metaverse virtually. One of these companies was the American sneaker giant Nike.
Last December, Nike acquired RTFKT, which designs virtual sneakers.
Nike and RTFKT launched the Nike Dunk Genesis Cryptokicks collection, which consists of 20,000 NFT sneakers, this week. These virtual sneakers, which are offered for sale as NFT, have found buyers in the NFT market with prices ranging from 7500 to 9000 dollars.
Nike’s digital sneakers sell for an average of $8,000. Rare models reach much higher prices. The price of specially designed Cryptokicks can go up to 133 thousand dollars. A special design model with an Alien theme was sold for 449 thousand dollars.
