Last April, we announced that Starbucks, a chain of American coffee shops, plans to enter the NFT sector by the end of the year. Starbucks has officially announced that it will step into the world of NFT.

The world’s largest coffee chain, Starbucks, announced in the statement it shared that it will release an NFT collection that will provide special advantages to its owners.

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz and Vice President Brady Brewer, at their last meeting with investors, signaled that the company would add “new concepts such as ownership and community-based membership models that they saw developing in the Web3 space” and that Starbucks would enter the NFT sector.

Following this statement, Brewer made the following statements:

“Imagine purchasing a new digital collection from Starbucks; this product will also serve as your access gateway to a global Starbucks community.”

“We Plan to Create a Branded NFT Collection”

Subsequently, the company shared a statement regarding NFTs directly:

“We plan to create a series of branded NFT collections whose ownership initiates community membership and allows access to exclusive experiences and benefits. These collection themes will emerge from Starbucks’ artistic expressions, both old and new, and world-class collaborations with other innovative and like-minded brands.”
