Opulous, a blockchain-supported platform, and renowned music label Republic, have teamed up to introduce their new NFT projects, Security NFTs (S-NFT), with rapper Lil Pump and DJ KSHMR. Thanks to this project, Republic also became the first platform to bring music investment and blockchain technology to large audiences by offering Security NFTs.
Within the scope of the project, fans from all over the world will be able to invest in the music they love with a reasonable amount of $100, and they will also be able to own the copyrights of the music they invest.
$500,000 reached in two hours
Leading this new project, Republic introduced Security NFTs, which combine securities innovation with blockchain technology, under the leadership of world-renowned rapper Lil Pump. In this context, in order to try the first version of the NFT project, Lil Pump’s new song “Mona Lia (feat. Soulja Boy)”, produced by Jimmy Duval, was presented to the fans on the relevant platform. The sale took place last November 4, within the framework of the project, which gave fans a chance to invest. The work reached its maximum goal, raising $500,000 in just two hours.
So what does this mean? This means that every time the song is played on streaming platforms, or whenever the song is played on any radio, television, movie or video game, NFT owners who have invested in the song will receive royalties. In other words, investors will have made money every time the song plays.
