US sports broadcaster Sports Illustrated is launching its NFT platform, built on the Polygon network, an Ethereum scaling tool.
Sports Illusrurated Presents Ticket Selling NFT Platform
Sports Illustrated’s ticket marketplace SI Tickets developed “Box Office” in partnership with Ethereum software firm ConsenSys, the company behind crypto wallet MetaMask.
The announcement said that this will be the world’s first complete NFT ticketing service and will allow event hosts, organizers and promoters to use the Box Office to create more engagement opportunities for tickets such as highlights, collectibles and offers through a feature called “Super Ticket”.
SI Tickets CEO David Lane said in a press release that the goal of the market was to disrupt the primary ticketing market from the very beginning.
