Facebook rolled up its sleeves for NFT

NFT support, previously announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, is now expanding to Facebook users. The new feature provides an opportunity for select NFT artists in the US to showcase their art on NFT platforms on Facebook.

Navdeep Singh, Meta Product Manager, made the first statement on the subject. Singh confirmed that they will begin giving artists the opportunity to share their digital collections on Facebook. This innovation, which will be tested by a certain user group in the USA for now, will be part of increasing NFT support of social media networks.

Speaking to TechCrunch, a Meta spokesperson confirmed that digital artists will be able to display their NFTs on their profiles. In fact, the arrival of this feature on Facebook will also prevent users who try to cheat on digital assets.

Meta Product Manager Navdeep Singh shared a few screenshots of how NFTs will look on Facebook. Thanks to the NFT support to be added to the profiles on Facebook, it will be possible to get detailed information about digital collections and the artist.

Meta has yet to reveal which blockchains it supports for Facebook. But we know that Ethereum, Polygon, Solana and Flow networks can be used for Instagram.

It was previously said that the NFT market could revive with the new support to be brought by Instagram. For this reason, more people would make an offer to buy it, and hence the price was expected to increase. So far this expectation does not seem to have been met.
