A special NFT collection will be prepared for the 250th anniversary of Istanbul Technical University (ITU).
All kinds of audio, picture and video format works in the archives of the university’s architecture, conservatory and engineering faculties will be transferred to digital media and converted into NFT works.
ITU Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu said the following about the NFT collection:
“Istanbul Technical University is an institution that not only closely follows technological development and digitalization, but also directs science and technique. With its deep-rooted history and academic experience spanning 250 years, ITU owes its innovative, dynamic and always young perspective to this. Thanks to our cooperation with Bitay, we will transfer two and a half centuries of knowledge and cultural heritage of our university into digital and turn them into NFT works. In this way, many heritages from the past will be able to safely reach future generations.”
