Grand Theft Auto Maker Not The First Company to Ban NFT
Minecraft, one of the most popular games in the world, was one of the game companies that stepped in NFT. This decision by Rockstar Games also drew attention. The producer of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) confirmed this ban in his statements.
According to the ban, developers will no longer be able to integrate cryptocurrencies or NFT products into servers. The newly introduced rules specifically cover role-playing games. In addition, the company underlined that it supports servers despite this restriction.
It is not yet known what will happen to NFT companies using the servers. Australia-based MyMetaverse runs Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5) servers that integrate tokens alongside car and sword-shaped NFTs.
