TRT General Manager Mehmet Zahid Sobacı met with the youth at the Next By TRT World Forum organization. Sobacı also mentioned NFTs here.
Sobacı talked about the importance of meeting the youth with technology at the beginning of his speech and said:
“Actually, in a sense, the next generation is trying to benefit from the dynamism there and from a new perspective by bringing the next generation together. an organization and ultimately we brought together young journalists, young activists, influencers and those who make a difference in their own field in Istanbul.”
Sobacı stated that the organization in question was prepared in such a way that young people would be interested:
“We did not leave the next organization only with panels. At the same time, we supported it with workshop activities and workshops. Thus, on the one hand, young friends had the opportunity to evaluate many issues from climate change to blockchain as well as NFT to the metaverse, while at the same time they had the opportunity to experience it.”
“Metaverse and Media: How Will the Latest Trend of Technology Impact Journalism?” Sobacı expressed the following to the session:
“NEXT is an organization that brings youth and the future together. When youth and the future come together, we must add a third concept to it; It is the concept of hope. In fact, when we look at the world in general, we see that the problems are at a more dominant point. We are trying to produce some decision-making processes to solve these problems, we are trying to establish consultation platforms, but we are missing something. Young people are also an important resource. That’s why we organized NEXT, we wanted to take the young person into consideration. Therefore, we wanted to focus on the youth, who use technology in a much more interesting and result-oriented way than the previous generation, with this event, and we wanted to make the youth a part of this process under the roof of TRT World Forum.”
In the event held in Zorlu PSM, many topics from technology to metaverse, from NFT workshop to space tourism were discussed. Can Yurdakul, Faisal UK, Sara El Jamal and Begüm Aydınoğlu, the founders of the world’s first metaverse agency, also talked about how the metaverse will affect the shaping of the new world in the panel they attended.
