“Next stop Paris”: TCL offers a look at the future with artificial intelligence cinema

TCL Studios, Valentine’s Day, “Next Stop Paris Paris”, called the romantic short film appeared before the audience. On February 13, 2025, this 12 -minute film, which was premiered on the company’s flow platform TCLTV+, represents the first major project from TCL’s virtual studio. The film offers a striking example of how artificial intelligence technology can revolutionize in the cinema world.

Makes you feel strange

The film “Next Stop Paris” takes the audience to a magical world where reality and artificial intelligence blend. I will not make a very serious criticism for Next Stop Paris, a romantic comedy about two young passengers who met on the train. Although not very good as a film, some sequences are actually impressive; However, most of them make you feel incomplete and strange due to the use of artificial intelligence.

On the other hand, the film is not entirely an artificial intelligence element. Although the characters created entirely by artificial intelligence after the first trailer are expected, the project seems to have shifted to a more practical spelling and acting approach over time; CGI and AI are used only for the creation of the environment and background effects. TCL states that in most scenes of the film, he uses a method combined with real images taken with professional cameras and various artificial intelligence applications (Midjourney, Runway ML, Nuke, Adobe After Effects and TCL tools).

TCL Studios plans to use what is learned from Next Stop Paris and developed with artificial intelligence to create more content for broadcasting service. Although Next stop Paris is not a revolutionary business, the cinema industry integrates increasingly artificial intelligence technologies into production processes. Especially the two major productions nominated in 2025 Oscars also indicate that AI technologies have been used.
