Newsletters feature coming to WhatsApp
It’s unclear how plausible it is to receive news via a messaging app like WhatsApp, but as noted by Wabetainfo, such a feature may be on the way. A new “Newsletters” feature is referenced in a code found in the beta version 2.23.5.3 of WhatsApp Messenger. When the code is examined, it is said that this bulletin feature will work as a one-to-many tool.
It is stated that this optional feature will be in its own section in the WhatsApp Status section. Users are said to have full control over the Newsletter feature, but there is no mention of ads and algorithm-based recommendations. In addition, it is stated that a search feature will also be offered to users. Therefore, it seems that it will be possible to reach people or sites broadcasting through the Bulletin.
In addition, WhatsApp’s Newsletter feature is still in early development and has not even entered the beta testing phase yet. In addition, it may be logical to make such a move from WhatsApp today, when social platforms have become a means of receiving news. As it will be remembered, Instagram co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger launched the new social platform Artifact, which offers newsletters, blogs and articles in a TikTok-like format.
