Things change every year in football games. Game mechanics, game modes, what we can do in-game changes with each new version. EA Sports also announces the changes we will see in the FIFA series with the videos it has previously published.
The changes in Ultimate Team mode are explained in the new video. While some new single-player scenarios have been added to the game, features such as team cohesion that players had to deal with before have also changed.
New mode, new team cohesion system, new features
The first important change we encounter is the Moments feature. In this mode, players go across the game to experience some “moments”. We can also get some rewards with the stars we earn from the Moments challenges, some of which are permanent and some are temporary. Some of the Moments moments require re-enacting the events we saw in the green fields, while others focus on fictional scenarios. In general, it is possible for players to have shorter gaming sessions in this mode.
The second change stands out in terms of team cohesion. The lines showing the chemistry of the players as before are not included in this version, because now all our football players catch a chemistry with each other. Thus, different tactics can be tried. Players now have an alignment star for league, nationality, and team. When the limit set for a certain feature is reached, that team cohesion bonus becomes active. In other words, Zeki Çelik, who plays at right-back, and Burak Yılmaz, who plays as a forward, receive a chemistry bonus even if they are not neighbors to each other, because they are of the same nationality. In addition, players can now be used in alternative positions (but their chemistry drops to 0).
In addition, with FIFA 23, people on different platforms will be able to face each other thanks to the cross-play feature. Another remarkable feature will be the ability to customize stadiums. Although it was possible to customize stadiums before, this time we will be able to obtain different structures. We will also be able to change the shape of the trophies and even the choreography of the fans. There will be spectacular 3D shows in the stands.
Finally, although it is stated in the video that there will be content related to the World Cup in FIFA 23, there is no detail on the subject. This year, as it is known, the World Cup will be held in the winter months.
