With the amendment of the regulation prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, new safety equipment for passenger transportation vehicles becomes compulsory. Within the scope of the arrangement, security measures were brought to vehicles for emergency button, vehicle tracking system, camera and image record device.
Compared to the new regulation, a vehicle tracking system will be established for passenger transportation vehicles in the category of M1, M2 and M3. Tracking systems will be compatible with GPS, Glonass, Beidou or Galleo satellite systems.
Position information of vehicles will be transmitted to the audit center every 10 seconds.
The new system will transfer the position of the vehicles to the audit center in real time. Location information will be shared every 10 seconds and in case of internet interruption, the device will keep at least 3 thousand position information in their memory and transfer it to the center when contact is provided. Emergency buttons will be placed in the vehicle compared to reasonable standards. In the M1 category vehicles, there will be at least two buttons, one at the driver. In the M2 and M3 category vehicles, additional buttons will be included in the driver’s scene and one of every 4 meters. In double -storey vehicles, another emergency button will be positioned on each floor.
In the Regulation, issues were also organized for the compliance of the devices to cyber security requirements and the compliance of the audit center. The approval of the devices to be used will be determined by obtaining the appropriate opinion of the Ministry of Interior and will be announced by the relevant organizations.
