Nvidia, which continues its work on the RTX 40 series graphics cards with Ada Lovelace architecture, does not seem to be leaving the RTX 30 Ampere series behind easily.
As it is known, it was revealed in the past weeks that Nvidia is working on RTX 3060 8GB, RTX 3060 Ti updated with GDDR6X memory, and RTX 3070 models with GA102 chips. Now, MegaSizeGPU reports that Nvidia is indeed working on new cards and that the company’s board partners are planning to bring more models to the middle segment, where competition is increasing.
May be introduced at the end of October
According to previous leaks, the new version of the RTX 3060, updated with 8GB memory, will be offered to users with a pricing of around $300, $50 lower than the main model with 12GB memory. Another model, the RTX 3060 Ti, updated with GDDR6X memories, will provide a 36 percent increase in memory bandwidth.
Announcement date for Nvidia RTX 40 series has been announced
We can say that the known details are limited, as the new cards have not yet become official. Leaks indicate that the first two models will be introduced at the end of October, after the RTX 40 models are launched.
