READING NOW New results from Apple’s M2 Max processor!

Last month, Geekbench scores appeared for the Mac model with the M2 Max processor, which is expected to be introduced soon. The new processor was disappointing as it showed only minor performance gains compared to the M1 Max. Now, new and more successful results have been revealed about the ‌M2‌ Max processor.

M2 Max achieved better results in new performance tests

In last week’s Geekbench scores, the ‌M2‌ Max scored 1,853 in single-core and 13,855 in multi-core, revealing only a small improvement over the previous model. According to new claims, the M2 Max managed to score 2,027 points in a single core and 14,888 points in multi-cores.

To show as a reference; The M1 Max reaches 1,755 points in single core and 12,334 points in multi-core. In the light of these figures, it is seen that the new processor performs about 15 percent better in a single core. In multi-core tests, this value goes up to 20 percent.

The new Geekbench scores unfortunately don’t offer any further details on the computers we expect to be the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro first. The newly arrived scores reveal that the processor is running on a MacBook model with 96GB of memory and running macOS Ventura 13.2.

The only difference between today’s scores and last month’s scores is that the updated chart includes an “M2” Max processor with a higher base frequency of 3.68 GHz compared to 3.54 GHz. This actually explains the higher scores.

Apple was originally expected to introduce updated MacBook models with “M2” Pro and “M2” Max processors in November of this year. When we come to today, the introduction of new modules has been postponed until the beginning of 2023. Apple is working on multiple new Mac models, including an updated iMac and MacBook Pro for 2023.

Next year, we are likely to see quite powerful MacBook models with the M2 Max processor. So what do you think about Apple’s new M2 Max processor? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
