New report on iPhone 14 series: A16 processors can only be found on Pro models

Even though we are at the beginning of 2022, information about the devices that will be introduced at the end of the year has started to come. The iPhone 14 series, which is expected to be introduced in the fall of 2022, is one of the most anticipated series of this year. A16 processors can only be used in Pro models

Ming-Chi Kuo stated on his Twitter account that A16 processors will only be used in iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Although Apple offers minor performance improvements to the Pro models, the standard model iPhone and the Pro model iPhone have always used the same processor until now. But that tradition will soon change, according to Kuo. Adding a ProMotion screen and more GPU cores to the Pro models with the iPhone 13 series, Apple is considering separating the Pro and standard models thoroughly this year.

According to the information received, Apple will give 6GB RAM to iPhone 14 models instead of 4GB RAM in order to separate the standard iPhone 14 models from the iPhone 13 models. Pro models are also expected to come with 6GB of RAM, but will come with LPDDR5 instead of LPDDR4X like standard models. Following Ming-Chi Kuo’s claims, 9to5Mac also confirmed these claims from different sources. It is also known that Apple will not release the iPhone mini this year. The standard iPhone 14 series will consist of the 6.1” screen iPhone 14 and the 6.7” screen iPhone 14 Max.

It is not known how long Apple will continue to separate the standard and Pro models. Although it is frustrating that the iPhone 14 also uses the A15 processor, the A15 processor is still one of the fastest on the market and will provide strong and consistent performance for many years to come.
