With the new communiqué published in the Official Gazette today, a new regulation came to real estate sales and rental sites such as sahibinden.com, Hepsiemlak, Emlakjet. Real estate sales and rental sites will make monthly notifications to the Revenue Administration (GIB) about the published advertisements

According to the Tax Procedure Law General Communiqué prepared by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance GİB, those who provide intermediary services for electronic commerce, social It will be obligatory to notify the Revenue Administration regarding the advertisements placed on web sites and those that provide space for content on the internet. Citizens do not need to submit any information to the GİB. The aforementioned communiqué concerns real estate sales and rental platforms.

What information will be reported to the government?

Real estate sales and rental platforms will notify the Revenue Administration on a monthly basis. Among the information to be given, the following information will be included:

• The internet address where the advertisement was published,
• Name and surname of the people who made the advertisement,
• Title,
• TC ID number,
• Tax ID number,
• Workplace address,
• Sales/collection amount realized on behalf of advertisers will be notified to GİB.

The Revenue Administration will be able to request more information if it wishes.

Platforms that do not report will be penalized

The first notification will include information about the postings published in June and this notification must be made by August 1st. Platforms that do not make monthly notifications or make incomplete notifications will be penalized within the scope of Law No. 213.
