AMD Ryzen 7000 supported AM5 motherboards set a new record. Renowned overclocking expert Chihhua “HiCookie” Ke has managed to reach DDR5-9058 memory speeds on an AMD B650E motherboard. Let’s take a look at the details together.

DDR5-9058MHz speeds reached

For those who don’t know, AM5 motherboards have faced various incompatibility issues when it comes to memory speeds of DDR5-6200 and above. However, the “AGESA 1007B” update released earlier this week has eliminated these problems. For curious users, it should be noted that the new update is gradually distributed.

Only one day after the release of the new update, we can say that new record attempts have begun. At this point, the famous Taiwanese overclocking expert HiCookie, collaborating closely with the Gigabyte/AORUS team, achieved a significant success by reaching speeds of 9058 MT/s (1.4V 56-56-136-130) on AORUS DDR5-8400 memory. Note that this memory has a profile of 8400 MT/s (XMP-56-56-126-127) by default.

We can say that this trial, carried out on the Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor and AORUS B650E Tachyon motherboard, represents an important milestone for the AM5 platform. Although speeds of 11202 MT / s were achieved on the Intel side, this success was achieved with special cooling solutions. Therefore, we can see that higher speeds are reached in the coming days.
