Released in 2013, The Last of Us was ported to the PC platform by Naughty Dog and developer Iron Galaxy after years. However, very serious optimization problems in the game were disappointing for curious players. Naughty Dog has now released a more comprehensive patch, announcing that it has fixed some critical bugs.

The Last of Us Part I v1.0.1.6 patch released

According to the studio, the game’s latest v1.0.1.6 update includes various fixes that improve memory, performance, and more. It is stated that optimizations have been made to prevent the game from crashing due to insufficient memory. With the update, the performance during gameplay and cinematic has also been increased. In addition, the problem of freezing on the first launch of the game has also been fixed.

However, this patch does not fix all existing problems. For example, the issue of late loading of shadows and overlays persists. Probably a few more patches will be released to fix all the issues. The game’s first update, released on Wednesday, focused primarily on stability and performance improvements, among other minor updates.
