Motorola, which left its mark on the phone market for a while, but lost a lot of blood by not keeping up with the changes since 2010, has started to remind of its old days with the moves it has made recently. The company, which Google sold to Lenovo for $2.91 billion in 2014, has undergone a change of identity since then.
In fact, Motorola, which entered into a great competition with Xiaomi and won to be the first company to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, which was introduced last month, started working on a new smartphone without slowing down.
Motorola Edge 30 Pro to be introduced soon
As you know, the Moto Edge X30, the first phone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, was launched in December. The interest in the smartphone was so great that the pre-order process was closed earlier than expected. As soon as it went on sale, it managed to bring in over 100 million Yuan to the company by selling 10 thousand units in 3 minutes.
Very pleased with the interest in Moto Edge X30, Motorola has started working on a new model called Edge 30 Pro, according to Mukul Sharma, known for its reliable leaks in the smartphone industry. It was even claimed that the device in question would be a successor to the Edge X30.
After this leak, rumors began to appear that an unnamed Motorola phone, which appeared in the Geekbench database and various certification sites, is actually the Edge 30 Pro.
If the claims are true, the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in the same way as its predecessor. Produced with a 4 nm fabrication process, the chipset will include one 3.0 GHz ARM Cortex-X2, three 2.5 GHz ARM Cortex-A710 and four 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores, in addition to the Adreno graphics unit. Apart from that, it will be presented to users with 12 GB of RAM and Android 12 operating system.
There are no clear details about the launch date of Motorola Edge 30 Pro. However, the leak claims that the device will be showcased in a month or two, first in China and then in global markets.
