Bill Gates believes that the future of teleworking meetings shows different points, and he predicts that most of these meetings will be held on the Metaverse within the next three years. Gates made this claim on his blog GatesNotes. The blog also described the challenges faced in 2021 and expectations to remain optimistic until 2022. While touching on a number of other issues, he said, “We have to adapt to the new normals. The new normal may mean something different for each individual, but for me, the new normal has turned into spending most of my life online.”
Later, describing how the pandemic has revolutionized working at home for office-based staff, Gates added that he is “really interested in how technology can be more integrated with remote work”, adding that he expects most of the office digitization to be implemented.

Gates isn’t just talking about how much it has evolved to cope with the massive increase in usage of services like Zoom and Microsoft Teams. He also says that “in the next two or three years, most virtual meetings will change from a 2D camera to a metaverse to a 3D space with digital avatars.”
