A rumor claims that it has revealed some key specs of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5. This claim includes speculation regarding weight and dimensions due to the inclusion of an S Pen slot, and claims that the Z Fold 5 may use an unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.
According to The Pulse, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will weigh 275 grams and be 6.5mm thick. This change in weight and size compared to its predecessor is attributed to the inclusion of the S Pen slot on the phone. No Galaxy Z Fold model released to date has fully embraced the S Pen in this way, but the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is thought to be the first model to change that. Thus, after the Galaxy Note series with S Pen, which takes place in the phone, the Galaxy Z Fold series will also adopt the S Pen.
An Unannounced Snapdragon Processor for “Test Edition”
On the other hand, the processor of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has also leaked. According to the leak, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature the yet unannounced Snapdragon 985 5G chipset. Allegedly, this processor, which is not yet available, is only used for the test version of the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The fact that this processor has not yet seen the light of day causes us to approach this claim with suspicion. Because the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is much more likely to see Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 model or at most Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Plus version.
