AMD managed to take the stage again in the processor market with the Zen architecture. Wanting to take the competition to the next level, Intel has completed its preparations for the 13th generation processor family. Twitter user TheGalox_ shared new information about 13th generation Intel processors.
Intel 13th generation processor family will surpass AMD
Performance tests of the new processors that Intel will introduce in the last quarter of 2022 have emerged. According to the leaked information, Intel achieved a 38 percent performance increase in the i9-13900K model compared to its 12th generation successor.
The Core i5-13600K model managed to outperform the Ryzen 9 5950X and Apple M1 Max processors according to Geekbench 5 performance test results. The processor with 14 cores and 20 threads came up with a score of 2,012 in a single core and 16,054 in a multi-core.
According to the information shared by TheGalox_, Intel will include 24 cores in the i9-13900K model. The TDP of the flagship processor will be 125W. The high-end model of the middle segment processor family, the i5-13600K, will be offered to users with 125W TDP and 14 cores. The i3-13100 model, which is the representative of the entry-level processor family, will have 60W TDP and 4 cores.
On the other hand, AMD announced that it will announce new Ryzen models with AM5 socket as part of the event to be held on August 29. It should be noted that the Intel 13th Generation Raptor Lake family will be announced on September 28. AMD is expected to introduce Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7700X, Ryzen 5 7600X at the event.
