The long-awaited return of the Matrix will be realized with Matrix Resurrections, starring Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, as well as Jada Pinkett Smith and Lambert Wilson. Morpheus, who is among the curious characters, will be played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II instead of Laurence Fishburne.
Speaking about Morpheus Character and Laurence Fishburne, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II said that Larunce did everything that needed to be done and that Matrix Resurrections offers a new story and a different iteration of Morpheus character. Not wanting to go into the details of the movie, Mateen said, “The character I’m playing is definitely aware of the history of the Matrix universe and the character Morpheus. I am playing a character who is in the process of self-discovery.”
