What are Pancake Protectors?
Pancake Protectors is a free-to-play tower defense game that integrates the use of PancakeSwap’s CAKE tokens. Players must strategically place their fixed heroes on maps and decide when and in which directions to use their buff attacks.
Players need to assemble a good team of heroes to protect the Base Camp from enemies. Pancake Protectors operate in the 14-day Season Settlement and refresh the leaderboards each season. Spending CAKE tokens on upgrades and purchasing NFT will give players additional benefits.
What makes the game a Web3 game is its integration with PancakeSwap’s native token, CAKE, to purchase and earn rewards while playing the game.
How to play?
Pancake Protectors follow a 14-day season payment system; Hero Leaderboards and Arena Leaderboards are determined each season, and rewards are distributed according to the season’s rank. Season 1 started on May 29, 2023 and will end on June 12, 2023. Season 2 will begin on June 12, 2023 at 04:00 UTC and will run for 14 days.
The basis of the game is that Pancake Home City is surrounded by enemies and they need you as the Commander to summon heroes from the four factions to protect the residents of Pancake Home City.
Players are entitled to three free recruits each day and can recruit more heroes by earning recruit cards from daily missions or shops. Alternatively, players can purchase gold using the KEK to recruit heroes. Currently, Players can have a maximum of 200 heroes. Players can also trade heroes to get heroes better suited to their team.
Use of CAKE Tokens in the Game
Players can use CAKE tokens:
- To increase the reload rate, it allows players to progress faster by reducing their reload cooldown. (useful when strong enemies attack)
- Claim CAKE heroes, let players get heroes with superior attributes.
- Unlock Level Fund, Battle Pass and Privilege Card. Players can purchase Gold to advance through ranks and levels faster. Battles Pass offers in-game currency, cosmetics, items, power-ups, etc. provides rewards.
